Curii

Información sobre este vino:

Curii is a red wine from the bodega Curii Uvas y Vinos that breathes the Mediterranean, with that very rare mix of salt, sun, and limestone. Its style moves in an orbit of medium aging, with time in wood, and it keeps the soul of a freely made red wine with an artisanal profile—sincere and with controlled extraction. This isn’t a showy, muscle-flexing wine, but one of refined gestures: a wine that prefers to suggest before it shouts.

Made in Alicante, this wine is based on the indigenous variety Giró, which is also interpreted in some cases as a local expression of garnacha, and at times may include other grapes from the area depending on the vintage or cuvée. Its personality is that of a red wine with a sense of place—almost like a recovered manuscript—where tradition and modern sensitivity join hands with an elegance that’s anything but forced.

In the glass, Curii suggests a landscape of ripe fruit, dried herbs, balsamic notes, and an earthy memory that brings to mind the scrubland after the heat. The wood doesn’t dominate; rather, it frames it—like a tailored suit for a voice with its own accent. It’s a wine with depth, but also with nerve, and that’s where much of its charm lies.

It comes from vineyards in the Marina Alta area, in Alicante, with plots close to the sea and soils of limestone and clay inspiration. That environment gives the wine its saline tension, its Mediterranean perfume and that sensation of contained ripeness that defines it. Viticulture is oriented towards respectful work with the environment, looking for old plots and local varieties such as Giró, with low yields and an expression closely tied to the landscape.
