Escondite del Ardacho El Veriquete is a red wine from Tentenublo Wines born in Rioja with that rare blend of insolence and precision that only truly singular plot wines offer. Its Crianza status is hinted at in a measured aging, with used wood and without fuss, as if the wine preferred to speak softly but with impeccable diction.
In it converge the tension of altitude, the patina of old vines, and a winemaking process that seems designed to respect the vineyard's pulse rather than impose a mask on it. It is a red wine with a contemporary air, but with an almost classic depth: a wine that does not show itself off, it reveals itself.
It comes from Viñaspre, in Rioja, from a small plot worked with very old vines on marls and sandstones, at an altitude close to 595 meters. The landscape imprints an almost telluric freshness, as if the soil spoke through the wine. The combination of old vines, minimal intervention and very limited yields explains its concentrated, precise character and its marked sense of origin.
