Finca Dofí
Información sobre este vino:
Finca Dofí is one of the most emblematic names of the bodega Álvaro Palacios, a Priorat red wine that combines magnetism, depth, and an almost aristocratic elegance. In its profile, the earth-born strength of the area coexists with the delicacy of a fine line, as if licorella rock had learned to speak in a low voice—but with impeccable diction. It is a barrel-aged wine that has helped define the house style: concentration without heaviness, character without harshness, and a nobility that can be recognized from the very first moment.
Its blend is usually dominated by Garnacha, accompanied by Cariñena and small proportions of other local varieties—an original mosaic that gives rise to a red wine with great personality. The hand of Álvaro Palacios can be felt in the balance between maturity and freshness, between density and straight-line verticality. It’s not a wine that tries to impress with loud gestures, but to seduce with the confidence of someone who knows its lineage perfectly.
In the glass, it unfolds an intense, refined, and at the same time restrained expression. Its dark fruit and its spicy profile intertwine with mineral notes, and a balsamic undertone that seems to rise directly from the mountain itself. In it there is a feeling of depth that’s almost geological—one layer over another—like a poem written in stone, ink, and time.
It comes from Priorat, a land of steep slopes, licorella soils and vines that seem to cling to the rock with almost heroic determination. The Finca Dofí vineyard is located in Gratallops, on historic plots that capture the most serious and profound expression of the Priorat landscape. The altitude, the exposure and the poverty of the soil favor restrained yields and a grape of enormous natural concentration. Here the terroir does not accompany: it dictates the character, imprints tension and confers that highly recognizable mineral backbone.
