E. Guigal Crozes-Hermitage Blanc

Información sobre este vino:

E. Guigal Crozes-Hermitage Blanc is a white wine from Maison E. Guigal, an iconic winery in the Rhône Valley that signs here an interpretation of classic and refined style, with that quiet elegance only wines have when they don’t need to raise their voice to make an impression. Born in the Crozes-Hermitage appellation, this white reveals the character of its origin with an aristocratic sobriety: stone fruit, white flowers, a very fine mineral streak, and a texture that seems braided with silk and stone at the same time.

Its architecture shows the work of a house that masters the art of blending and measured aging. The result is a white wine of medium to full body, with presence, breadth, and a sense of taste nobility that places it above mere approachability. Its profile belongs to the northern Rhône whites family, where Marsanne usually takes the lead with a smaller share of Roussanne, bringing volume, texture, and discreet yet persistent luminosity.

It speaks in ivory tones and pale gold, with restrained sensuality—almost like polished marble. Here, the winery E. Guigal delivers a white with serious, gastronomic personality and great versatility, with that blend of freshness and substance that makes it appealing both for its precision and for its depth.

It comes from the Crozes-Hermitage appellation, on the left bank of the Rhône, an area where alluvial soils, clay-silty soils, and more sandy-gravelly plots coexist—capable of producing whites with relief and finesse.Part of the wine comes from the old Domaine de Vallouit vineyard, located north of the AOC, between Larnage and Crozes-Hermitage. The vineyard has an approximate average age of 25 years.
