Lousas Viñas de Aldea

Información sobre este vino:

Lousas Viñas de Aldea is a red wine of Envínate that is born in the D.O. Ribeira Sacra, in Galicia, and belongs to a category of village wine elevated to the status of an object of desire. Its character moves between Atlantic precision and mineral emotion: a red of light to medium body, but with a deep soul, almost like a whispered conversation between the mist and the slate.

In this 11-month period of aging, the fruit does not impose itself with violence; instead, it filters through with elegance, as if the wine would rather hint than declare. Envínate signs here a red wine with a fine, vibrant, refined profile, where Mencía and the indigenous varieties draw a landscape of red fruit, wild herbs, dried flowers, and a salinity that seems to have been taken straight from the very terroir.

It’s a wine with a restrained, aristocratic aesthetic—one of those that don’t need to raise its voice to leave a mark. Its charm lies in tension, in purity, and in a freshness that makes it seem almost weightless, yet always grounded in a base of crushed stone and damp mountain that firmly anchors it to the soil it comes from.

It comes from Ribeira Sacra, on steep slopes with Atlantic influence, where the slate —the lousas— imprints on the wine its vertical character and mineral tone. The old vines, farmed with organic criteria, contribute concentration, identity, and a very precise reading of the landscape.
