LOUSAS VIÑAS DE ALDEA

Información sobre este vino:

Lousas Viñas de Aldea is a red wine of Envínate that is born in the D.O. Ribeira Sacra, in Galicia, and belongs to a category of village wine elevated to the status of a coveted object. Its character moves between Atlantic precision and mineral emotion: a red of light to medium body, but with a deep soul—almost like a whispered conversation between the mist and the slate.

In this medium aging of 11 months, the fruit does not impose itself with violence, but rather filters through with elegance, as if the wine preferred to hint before declaring. Envínate signs here a red with a fine, vibrant and refined profile, where Mencía and the native varieties draw a landscape of red fruit, wild herbs, dried flowers and a salinity that seems torn from the very terroir.

It’s a wine with a restrained, aristocratic aesthetic—the kind that doesn’t need to raise its voice to leave a mark. Its charm lies in tension, in purity, and in a freshness that makes it seem almost airy, yet it always has a base of crushed stone and damp mountainside that firmly anchors it to the ground from which it comes.

It comes from Ribeira Sacra, on steep slopes of Atlantic influence, where the slate —the lousas— imparts to the wine its vertical character and mineral tone. The old vines, worked with organic criteria, provide concentration, identity and a very precise reading of the landscape.
