Marqués de Murrieta Reserva is a red wine from the Qualified Designation of Origin Rioja, produced by the historic Marqués de Murrieta winery in the iconic Finca Ygay. This wine reflects the tradition and excellence of the region, combining elegance and complexity in every bottle.

The varietal composition of this wine is a symphony of selected grapes: 87% Tempranillo, 6% Graciano, 5% Mazuelo and 2% Garnacha. The grapes are hand-harvested from vineyards located between 320 and 485 meters above sea level, which provides exceptional freshness and concentration to the wine. After the harvest, each variety ferments separately in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, thus preserving the unique characteristics of each vine.

The aging process is meticulous: the wine ages for 16 months in 225-liter American oak barrels, followed by a period of bottle aging that gives it notable harmony and depth. This barrel aging process lends the wine a complexity and elegance that make it a benchmark of the D.O.Ca. Rioja.

In the glass, Marqués de Murrieta Reserva presents a ruby red color with garnet rim, reflecting its maturity and elegance. On the nose, it offers medium intensity with aromas of ripe red fruits, sweet spices such as cinnamon and vanilla, cocoa and balsamic notes that provide depth and complexity. On the palate, it is balanced, with a fleshy structure and well-integrated tannins that provide a velvety sensation. Its fresh acidity and persistent finish make it an easy-drinking and very pleasant wine.

This wine is ideal for pairing with roasted meats, stews, Iberian cured meats and aged cheeses. It is recommended to serve it between 16 and 18 degrees Celsius to fully appreciate its organoleptic qualities.
