Micalet

Información sobre este vino:

Micalet is a white wine from the winery Javi Revert Viticultor that stands as a piece of Mediterranean goldsmithing: a single-parcel wine with the soul of a landscape, born in the D.O. Valencia and dressed in that kind of high-altitude white that does not seek to dazzle with artifice, but rather to seduce with depth, proportion, and truth.

The wine comes from Pla del Micalet, a historic vineyard located on the slopes of Penya Foradà, where altitude, exposure, and the white, chalky soils shape a character of noble tension and almost mineral elegance. The Javi Revert winery interprets this landscape with uncommon sensitivity: like someone who listens to an old score and turns it into a clean, modern melody that is, at the same time, deeply rooted.

In terms of style, Micalet falls within a medium-aging classification, with aging on the lees and a winemaking process that provides volume, texture, and serene complexity. It is a white wine that combines a vocation for freshness with a subtle gastronomic profile, the kind that does not demand attention loudly but lingers in the memory with the stubbornness of wines that have something important to say.

It comes from the Pla del Micalet plot, in Font de la Figuera, at about 730-750 meters above sea level, on the slopes of Penya Foradà. The old vines, planted in 1948, grow on white, calcareous soils with a marked Mediterranean identity. That hillside landscape of stone and light imprints on the wine a singular personality: mountain freshness, saline accent and a noble sense of a well-defined place.
