Pancrudo

Información sobre este vino:

Pancrudo is a red wine from Gómez Cruzado that moves with the elegance of someone who knows their origin very well and doesn’t need to raise their voice to make a presence. Made with Garnacha from old vines in Alto Najerilla, this wine expresses a sober, refined interpretation of Rioja, where the fruit isn’t displayed with loud fanfare but with a grace that’s almost aristocratic. Its aging is positioned at a very measured point of balance, with aging in French oak barrels and fudre, plus a portion refined in concrete, which provides breadth, texture, and a distinctly mineral pulse.

At Pancrudo, Gómez Cruzado’s winery presents a precise view of the terroir: a red wine of fino, fluid and serious style, with the depth of high-altitude vineyards and the serenity of a winemaking that seeks transparency rather than artifice. It has a stylized silhouette, with an almost ethereal air in the way it unfolds, yet with enough substance to leave a lasting impression. The Garnacha here isn’t easy exuberance, but silk, stone, and ordered light.

It comes from vineyards in Alto Najerilla, in Rioja, at about 650 meters altitude, with north-facing exposure and clay-iron soils. That location imparts to the wine a mountain energy, a contained luminosity and a marked sense of geographical precision. The old Garnacha vines and the vineyard work provide natural concentration, freshness and a very clear identity of place.
