Partida Pedrer is one of those cuvées that seem born to remind us that Priorat is not explained: it is contemplated, sensed and, in the end, drunk. Signed by the Sara i René Viticultors winery, this aged red wine expresses itself with the elegant gravity of great hillside wines, with a voice that does not need to raise its tone to command respect. Its profile combines the mineral nakedness of llicorella with fruit of fine pulse, as if the land spoke in whispers of hot stone and dry wind.

In the glass, Partida Pedrer usually shows a sober and magnetic personality, more about subtlety than exuberance, more about precision than showiness. The ageing, far from masking its identity, seems to polish it like a patient chisel on dark marble.
