Pingus
Información sobre este vino:
Pingus is a red crianza wine made by the Dominio de Pingus winery, located in Quintanilla de Onésimo, Valladolid, within the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin. Founded by Danish winemaker Peter Sisseck in 1995, this winery has become a benchmark for Spanish viticulture, producing high-end wines with limited production and exceptional quality.
Made with grapes from the Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) variety, from vineyards over 70 years old, Pingus is characterized by its organic and biodynamic production, reflecting the winery’s commitment to sustainable practices and minimal intervention. Fermentation takes place in wooden vats, and the aging, which ranges from 20 to 23 months, is carried out in French oak barrels, giving the wine unique complexity and elegance.
In the glass, Pingus shows a deep cherry-red color with violet reflections, reflecting its youth and vitality. On the nose, it offers medium intensity with aromas of fresh red fruit, accompanied by subtle spicy and toasted notes that add depth and complexity. On the palate, it is balanced and harmonious, with a fleshy structure and well-integrated tannins that provide a velvety feel. Its fresh acidity and persistent finish make it an easy-to-drink wine that is highly enjoyable.
This wine is ideal to pair with cured meats, nuts, salads, pasta, and white meats. It is recommended to serve it between 16 and 18 degrees Celsius to fully appreciate its organoleptic qualities. With an alcohol content of 14.5% vol., Pingus offers an excellent value for money, making it a great choice to enjoy with friends and family meals.
