Tesalia
Información sobre este vino:
Tesalia is the flagship red wine of Bodega Tesalia, in Arcos de la Frontera, Cádiz—a house that has managed to turn the light of the south into a style statement. It is born with a vocation for serious and refined red wine; and while its name may sound almost mythological, its identity is firmly down to earth: that of a project that pursues a grand cru of Andalusia with an elegant touch, the precision of a master jeweler, and a clearly contemporary ambition.
In its profile, Mediterranean depth and a refinement that is almost British coexist—an interplay that gives it the air of a high-fashion wine. The winery works with varieties such as Petit Verdot, Tintilla de Rota, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, and the result is often a red wine with great presence: polished, and with that noble tension that sets wines apart that want only to impress from those that also want to linger in the memory.
Aging in oak and respect for the terroir are felt in its palate architecture: a wine that isn’t looking for an outcry, but for relief; not easy exuberance, but depth. Tesalia conveys the idea of a wine built with patience, with measured wood and ripe fruit that doesn’t lose its pulse—as if each sip were drawn with a ruler, a compass, and a certain elegant insolence.
It comes from Arcos de la Frontera, in the Sierra de Cádiz, an area where the warm, sunny climate is softened by Atlantic and Mediterranean influences. The clay soils over a limestone subsoil bring tension, character and a very marked personality to the wine. The winery works with manual harvesting and selected plots, seeking optimal ripeness and a precise expression of the landscape. It is a wine that speaks of hillsides, clean air and a land that, far from the obvious, offers nuances and complexity.
