Venus La Universal

Información sobre este vino:

Venus La Universal is a red wine from the bodega Venus La Universal, born from the creative pulse of Sara Pérez and René Barbier in the DO Montsant. It is a aged wine that, more than asserting itself, seems to glide with the confidence of someone who knows the language of their terroir perfectly. Its character blends fleshiness, tension, and an almost magnetic elegance— as if ripe fruit and stone had learned to converse in the very same glass.

In this red, the winery builds a sober, refined style, with a depth that does not need to raise its voice. The wine is presented with that air of contained nobility that well-thought-out wines often have: a concentrated profile, with a clear Mediterranean identity, yet with enough freshness to prevent any excess of solemnity. It has a serious, polished, and deeply food-friendly character— the kind that invites you to pause and watch how it evolves slowly in the glass.

Its usual blend brings together garnacha, cariñena, syrah, cabernet sauvignon and merlot, depending on the vintage, in an architecture where fruit, spice, and the mineral echo are interwoven naturally. It is a red wine with a landscape soul: broad, expressive, and at the same time measured, with a ripeness that does not tip into excess and a depth that leaves a mark. In short, a Montsant wine with the vocation of a mirror: it reflects the land, but also the hand that interprets it.

It comes from Montsant, in the Falset area, from the La Universal estate: a small property of about 4 hectares farmed with ecological criteria and respect for the surroundings. Clay-limestone soils and the combination of exposures provide tension, depth, and that almost telluric quality that distinguishes wines with true sense of place.
