Viña Tondonia Reserva is a reserve red wine from the prestigious winery R. López de Heredia Viña Tondonia, located in the D.O.Ca. Rioja, Spain. This wine is made from a selection of grapes from its own vineyards, situated on the right bank of the Ebro River, in alluvial and calcareous soils. The varieties used are Tempranillo (75%), Garnacha (15%), Graciano and Mazuelo (10%).

After manual harvesting, the grapes are fermented in large 60-hectoliter oak vats made by the winery’s own cooperage. The wine ages for 6 years in American oak barrels, undergoing two rackings per year. Subsequently, it is clarified with fresh egg whites and bottled without filtration, remaining in the bottle until it is marketed.

This traditional and meticulous process gives the Viña Tondonia Reserva exceptional complexity and elegance, reflecting the essence of the winery and the region.
